Significant Energy Savings from Halo at St Chads Church
A fantastic new Halo case study is available for St Chad’s Church, in Bradford. St Chad’s Church, a Grade II listed building built in 1912-14, had nine Halo heaters installed in 2023.
We are thrilled to share a detailed video which discusses feedback from St Chad’s Church, including the significant savings on energy bills since Halo and the Halos suitability to work within the restrictions imposed by its listed status.
The video includes details of the significant savings in heating costs from Halo over the previous system. Monthly running costs, using January as a comparative both pre and post Halo, are:
January 2021: £1,600 (previous heating system through a mix of gas and electric)
January 2024: £455 (Halo system)
A huge monthly saving of £1,135, equating to approximately £8000 over the full winter season.
The video also showcases the Halo heaters in-situ and how their appearance echoes the circular light fittings from 1915, delivering a solution that is not only sensitive to the history of St Chad’s but also complements its heritage aesthetic.
In addition, hear about the Herschel heritage specification process and how we deliver a sustainable, energy-efficient and effective comfort heating solution for churches.
Thank you to everyone involved at St Chad’s, it is brilliant to share your story, and what has been achieved in switching to a cleaner form of heating.
We hope you enjoy hearing about this installation. Please direct any interest in visiting or contacting St Chad’s Church to Herschel. Our Business Development Manager, Adam, can then help coordinate arrangements at times that work best for the church.
