Infrared Hot Yoga and Inferno Pilates

Our client was looking for heating for their infrared hot yoga and inferno pilates studio in Epping. The Hot Barn runs both bikram yoga, where temperatures are set to 40℃, as well as inferno pilates which is set to 37℃.

Thanks to The Hot Barn for their photos featuring Herschel Aspect XL infrared heaters.

The Hot Barn chose Herschel’s Aspect XL infrared heaters to warm the yoga studio to the required temperatures. The designer Aspect XL heaters are manufactured in the UK and provide a zero-light, powerful heating solution that can be either wall or ceiling-mounted. The four Aspect XL4 heaters (1950W) are ceiling-mounted to provide consistent, even warmth throughout the studio.

Controlled through an MD2 thermostat and APX control system, the MD2 thermostat offers temperature control up to 45°C – ideal for precise temperature control, ensuring people gain the full benefits offered by these high temperature fitness classes.

"Definitely feel it warms them from the inside out"

All of my clients have commented on how good the heat is. They definitely feel it warms them from the inside out and they can push themselves harder in the postures! They also like that when it reaches temperature the heaters cut out and so they get a small relief until they start back up again. It creates the perfect amount of humidity as well - being in a small space it works so well that we get a big sweat which for bikram is ideal as it cools the body down slightly to be able to continue to work hard. I have worked in many studios and can definitely recommend infrared over any other types of heating.

Infrared heating was an easy choice for The Hot Barn which recognises the health benefits that infrared heating can offer. They cite the benefits of infrared heating in exercise as providing pain relief, improved circulation and body detoxification which leads to quicker muscle recovery, reduced stress levels and boosted metabolism.
