For installers

Quick and simple installation

The quick and simple installation of Herschel infrared panels makes them a natural fit for modular buildings, where speed, efficiency, and minimal disruption are essential.

Unlike traditional heating systems, infrared panels require no plumbing or complex infrastructure – just a standard electrical connection. Herschel Infrared panels can also be installed by any qualified electrician, meaning you do not have to worry about finding and booking a specialist installer.

Herschel Infrared heaters are available for next working day delivery, and with the simple installation process they can often be installed throughout a modular building in under a day.

Comfortable, energy-efficient warmth

Because modular buildings are often compact and well insulated, Herschel Infrared panels are a perfect heating solution to maximise efficiency.

Infrared heaters work by heating the thermal mass of a space rather than heating the volume of air. This means heat is stored in the walls, floor and ceiling and slowly radiated back out again. With modular buildings that have good levels of insulation, this heat is stored for longer which can result in less energy being used heating the space.

This results in a much more comfortable feeling of warmth and also reduces heat-loss in a space. This is also beneficial for the modular building itself, as heating with infrared helps prevent any risks of damp or mould.

Solar panels

Eco-friendly heating

Sustainability is an important factor to consider when constructing modular buildings, with many including solar panels and battery systems as part of the design to maximise efficiency. Herschel Infrared heaters are fully electric, so can be powered with renewable energy, making them a perfect combination for modular homes.

Herschel also carried out a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of our Comfort infrared heating panels. The results show that it takes up to 3 x less CO2 to manufacture Herschel Comfort panels than a comparable heat pump system.

Higher levels of embodied carbon will directly contribute to climate change so it’s important to choose a system with lower levels of embodied carbon.

Customer Testimonials

“We think the infrared heating is fantastic”

We think the infrared heating is fantastic, it warms the space quickly and efficiently, and we love the discreet design. Having a ceiling-mounted heater has also enabled us to free up valuable floor space.

“I thought wow! It’s been amazing”

“It’s been brilliant. When I first came and saw they were changing this into a music suite, the first thing I thought was how are we going to use that in winter! There’s no chance of us having young people in here as one thing is having a space that’s warm and when I first came in I thought these were audio panels and when someone said they were radiators, I thought wow! It’s been amazing…..it’s been really good to see young people come in and sit and chill in the space, making lots of music. We get a lot of young MCs who use the studio, it’s been a really nice addition and it wouldn’t have been possible without the heaters essentially as it would have been way too cold”.
