Cycling 1000 miles from John O’ Groats to Land’s End: An epic adventure in support of St. Peter’s Hospice
CEO, Paul, and his friends John and Mike, are currently undergoing a 1,000-mile challenge; cycling from John O’ Groats to Land’s End to raise funds for St. Peter’s Hospice.

They are currently six days into their epic and they have already faced some of the most beautiful and brutal parts of the UK. From the dramatic Highlands to the wet lochs, Scotland has given them everything it has — relentless rain, gale force head winds, and punishing climbs, but they are still on track to meet their 12-day target.
“This is by far the hardest physical challenge I’ve ever done, but also one of the most memorable. We’ve met so many lovely people along the way, and the support has kept us going even in the toughest moments.”

At Herschel Infrared, we’re proud to be supporting this incredible cause with a much-needed van — their essential support vehicle, providing rest, gear, and backup.
The 1000 Mile Journey
The team set off from John O’ Groats on Saturday 24th May, and are passing through the following places on their journey:
- Altnaharra
- Inverness
- Fort William
- Glasgow
- Lockerbie
- Windermere
- Haydock
- Ironbridge
- Thornbury
- Crediton
- Fowey
before finishing their journey at Land’s End — with sore legs, full hearts, and hopefully a dry day or two along the way!

The £10,000 Goal for St. Peter’s Hospice
The team have already raised over £5,000, and the aim is to double that — with all donations going directly to St. Peter’s Hospice to support patients and families when they need it most.
Donate to the JustGiving page here if you can – every bit of support is hugely appreciated and will help support the amazing work this charity does.
We wish Paul and his fellow cyclists all the best for the second half of their challenge.
