As the only UK member of the European Infrared Heating Alliance (EIHA) we are thrilled to share the fantastic news that our UK Comfort infrared panel range has been awarded the European Quality Compliance Label, in accordance with the requirements of the EIHA.
Certified Radiation Efficiency
The European Quality Label certifies that Herschel Comfort products are manufactured in compliance with European Factory Procedure ECS/CIG 021-024. It also certifies that Herschel Comfort meets the radiation efficiency requirements, as set out in IEC 60675-3:2020.
Factory Inspection
Alongside detailed testing and assessment of the Comfort range by engineering firm Peutz, the quality certification also involved a factory inspection (bi-annual). The factory inspection by an accredited body assesses whether product components and manufacturing processes meet the required criteria. Following the inspection in January 2025, successful certification was granted by the Indoor Climate Technology Foundation. This confirms all quality and reliability standards have been met.

Paul Morey, CEO, has shared his delight at achieving this milestone. “We are thrilled that Herschel has been been awarded the European quality certification for our UK manufactured Comfort infrared panel heating range. The quality mark is aimed at standardising electric infrared heating and we are delighted that we have been recognised in this way. The high radiant efficiency performance of our infrared panels, certified by the Quality Label, alongside the fact that we are the only UK member of the European Infrared Heating Alliance, demonstrates our commitment to quality and firmly sets us apart as the UK number one infrared heating company”.
To recognise Herschel’s accreditation on product manufacture, Herschel Comfort infrared heating panels will have the European Quality Logo added to their labelling moving forward. Herschel remains committed to sourcing the highest quality components and adhering to quality controlled manufacturing processes. We look forward to continuing to support the EIHA in its efforts to ensure consumers are informed in their choices for efficient, sustainable and comfortable heating solutions.
