Set in Norfolk, this manor farmhouse renovation was guided by a clear ambition to adopt a more sustainable approach to heating. The property was already equipped with solar panels, electric vehicles, and multiple Tesla storage batteries, so the homeowner, Des, was seeking a “green answer” to heating the home.

Solution

Herschel Comfort Colour, Comfort White, Select XLS Mirror with Lights and Inspire Picture panels were installed throughout the house to provide a designer, efficient heating solution which aligns with their sustainability goals.

For the kitchen and hallway areas, the Comfort Colour range was chosen to match the colour of the walls. Comfort Colour panels are available in a range of specially selected, on-trend colours however bespoke colour panels can also be manufactured (as used in this home). An Inspire Picture panel was also installed to heat the downstairs hallway. The owners chose to customise their Inspire Picture panel with their own bespoke photograph, creating a truly unique heating solution, with a stylish gloss finish, that looks stunning in their hallway.

The Select XLS Heated Mirror with Lights was chosen to heat the downstairs WC. This infrared panel heater features built-in touch controls and dimmable LED lighting on the front of the mirror as well as at the bottom, providing an ideal choice for heating bathrooms and WCs.

The UK-Made Comfort White panels were then used to heat the bedrooms, bathrooms, ensuites, study, sitting room and garden room.

The panels throughout the home are controlled with the popular MD2 wired thermostats, offering flexible control through the Smart Life App.

Effective set-up and management of the infrared heating panels through SmartLife, alongside the Tesla App and battery storage, ensures they run their heating as efficiently as possible.
