Description
The Select Portable Infrared Heater 500W freestanding, portable heater designed to provide top-up heating when and where you want it around your home or office. Perfect for providing personal heating where you don’t want a permanent heater. This low energy radiator provides a supplementary heating solution at minimal cost. Ideal for the growing work from home market, keep comfortable on chillier days without having to heat the whole house – simply take it to where you need it and plug it in.
The Select Portable Infrared Heater 500W has an in-built thermostat to provide simple temperature control making it fully compliant with European energy saving regulation (Lot 20) and features internal safety thermal cut out sensors. It also comes with Herschel’s SMART-R system for App-enabled control, via the SmartLife App. Just pair it with your home or office wifi and use it with the SmartLife app to form part of your wider home or office smart control solution.
Herschel’s Select Portable Infrared Heater 500W uses radiant heating technology to directly warm people, a cost-effective system for providing additional warmth where required.
Available with a 5 year warranty the heater is supplied with feet and comes with a fitted UK plug. The heater is freestanding only and cannot be mounted to a wall.

Touch Screen Control Centre
Take full control of your heating routines with the Herschel Touch Screen Control Centre, a central hub where you can activate Smart Life Scenes to fully customise your heating to fit around your schedule. Decided to head out for the day or going on holiday for longer? Save energy by never heating an empty home through Tap-to-Run Scenes, which can override any existing Schedules to ensure you have full control over your infrared heating. The Touch Screen Control Centre can be conveniently controlled using the 4″ touch screen display; where you can quickly access two of your chosen Scenes from the home screen, or simply swipe right to find all Configured Scenes on your Smart Life app. This display also features the time, date, and weather status.
Not home? The Touch Screen Control Centre can also be controlled remotely through the Smart Life App, so no matter where you are, you will always have full control over your infrared heating.
The Touch Screen Control Centre is wired directly to the mains circuit, and must be installed within range of a 2.4Ghz WiFi network. The Touch Screen Control Centre is designed to operate with Smart Life Scenes, so no wiring directly to the panel or thermostats is required.
The unit size is 86 x 86 x 36mm.
The Ultra iQ Range (S-TSCC, S-FSC, S-HSS, and PIR001) are Energy-Saving Accessories and must be used in conjunction with thermostats. These are not thermostats.
Note: The Touch Screen Control Centre will not work with the T-BT Battery Powered Thermostat.

Simply tap the Holiday icon and your infrared heaters will automatically stay off until you are back, helping to save energy and reduce running costs. Feeling cold? Tap the On icon to turn your infrared heaters on to give you a boost in heating. You can assign any Scene to any button through the Smart Life App to make the control personalised to you and your heating preferences.

PIR Sensor
The PIR Sensor works with Herschel Wifi-enabled thermostats to give you extra energy savings on your heating based on room occupancy when the heating is on. (Why have the heating on full blast in a room noone is in?).
We recommend you set up your Herschel Thermostats to run in Smart Mode as normal.
But then with the PIR sensor you can add “Scenes” to the Smartlife App (see an example Scene here) to turn the thermostat down if you are away from the room and turn it back up when you return. Say, for example, your living room is usually set for 21°C from 18:30 until 22:30, but you go out to dinner. Rather than keep heating a room you are not in, the PIR Sensor will turn your heating down while you are out.
As another example, you can also use it to keep the heating on if (for example) you are working late in a room that usually turns its heating down earlier in the evening.
The PIR Sensor is a battery operated WiFi unit. You will need one sensor for each room you want to check for occupancy. The sensor will work effectively in small to medium-size houses (e.g. 2-3 bedrooms) when paired directly to the main router. For larger buildings using network extenders, the sensors should be paired with the extenders.
The PIR sensor must be used in conjunction with a Herschel Thermostat, it will not control your heating just on its own.

IR heating really is the future!
I was after a room heater for a small home office and wanted to try the energy saving IR options. I found the Herschel website, and after browsing found the one I thought could work. Working nearby the showroom, the team kindly invited me down and I experienced (electric) IR heating for the first time – it was fantastic – quick, direct, effective and very warm – I was sold! Having now had the unit running for a couple of weeks in my office, I can confirm it works well, and during the recent cold snap, it kept me warm even though the office has 2 north facing exterior uninsulated walls. I’m now looking where else in the house IR can be fitted.

After reading web reviews on Trust Pilot I ordered my heater, very easy ordering from Herschel web site and very fast delivery receiving heater next day. Cost of Infrared Panel Heater £349.00
Easy install just plug in , Download Smart Life app from Google Play Store to use heating settings from my Android phone for ease of use, This includes Timer ,Manual , With Smart to use with Settings to set when you wish for Heater to turn on and off , Also there is Holiday setting to.
The heater is very slim white in colour not taking up much space and is not heavy in weight so easy to move , The Heating itself is different from other heaters I have had ,the heat feels more refreshing and comfortable and does not dry my throat or give off a dusty smell , The heater panel itself gets hot very quickly and is quick to cool.
Herschel’s customer service team are very helpful and very professional, Kieran who I spoke with on the Herschel Web site was very friendly in helping me with any questions I had.
