…the panels, and the house, have worked really well this first winter. The Passivhaus level of insulation, combined with MVHR and orientation of windows, generally has meant we’ve needed only the big infrared panels on in the sitting room to maintain the right temperature throughout the whole house. I’ve had the temperature set for about 20/21 degrees first thing in the morning and again in the evening, and the house has mostly then maintained temperature during the daytime, and then decreased by a couple of degrees overnight. On sunny days, the panels aren’t needed at all. It’s been great having the thermostats and the Smartlife app, as I’ve been able to monitor the house temperature all winter whether we’re at the house or not.
